hello all,

ive got a H-reg Nova 1.2 Diamond, which im debating whether to change the engine in or do the headgasket on?

what is involved in fitting a 1.6 16v astra mk3 engine?

obviously i know engine in/engine out, but what else do i need or is it a straight fit?

am i gona need the engine bay stem welded, or special driveshafts/engine mounts? fuel tank with mpi pump? what about the wiring?

only asking as ive just bought an astra mk3 1.6 16v, with 89k on the clocks, runs mint, just had cambelt/service etc, but has been rear ended, so im toying with the idea of fitting the 1.6 16v into my nova.

many thanks for any help!

Easy mate, it all bolts straight in. The hardest part I found is sourcing the vehicle speed sensor for the gearbox so the engine doesn't stall at every set of lights.

make sure you get the gearbox too. the nova one won't fit the 1600 engine, the bellhousings are different
