c20xe cts wiring

anyone know which wire is the live and earth on a c20xe coolant temperature sensor? one wire is red and the other is blue

is it not just the single blue thats usualy got a crimp on the end.
the one with 2 wires is the cold start switch.

no i think that one is for the temperature guage. i am on about the sensor that tells the ecu what temperature the engine is at, i will try and get a picture of it

looks like a cold start switch to me pal. wires going to it are brown/blue and brown/red i think

Thats the coolant temp sensor is that one, screws into the thermostat housing, cant help on the wire colours but thats definately CTS:thumb:

i checked my engine today solid brown and brown/red go to mine

your wires have been extended with 240v live and neutral

ok, i think i have it sorted out now, i found out that it is using a 1.6 16v plug which uses a red and blue wire.

i checked my mates corsa and their was power comming out of the blue wire.
