i really hate where the airfilter goes on novas with xe's does anybody move them else where?
Put the battery in the boot, remove the firewall and stick the filter where the battery was,
can't you move it to above the gearbox??

dont have a fire wall so that could be an option. and i did think about fitting it above the gearbox.
I'd be interested to see how you relocate it to the passenger side because mine's a bit tight on the belt cover/turret too. Pointing up in the battery area sounds like a winner if you have the room to do so.

You just need a custom tophat/powercap type affair to pipe the filter to the nearside of the car (gbox), just alter the wiring for the AFM to reach.
Buy a C20LET TX 3" tophat or the 2.5" ones beardy from mig makes and measure afm and get silicone pipe to match then extend afm wires, done.
Didn't meyhem have his (or posts pics) of an XE with an LET tophat and air filter over the GB?
I don't think putting it in the battery place would be good, unless you waterproof the area..
A bit of tin or plastic to block of a bit of the vent, mind it a trackcar, mind you for knockhill you'd be better fitting a snorkle lol

Any airboxes fit with the xe conversion? I think the cone filters are untidy looking on most cars.

i saw one with the air box fitted but looked like he had to cut the wing and mounting panel.
i might just leave it just now i will be fitting 45s soon.
Will F fitted a SRI Airbox, But cut the inner wing area.
Corsa airbox could be made to fit, Just need to mod the bottom of it.
