Didn't really change profile as gearing seem to be good was looking at going for 185/50 or 175/50 just wanted to know wot other people run

changing the width will change the profile slightly dependent on rim width anyway

The lip on drivers side rear arch just rub on the side wall of the tyre

roll the arches, or slightly persuade it with a heat gun and a soft mallet

195/50 = 97.5 high
195/45= 87.75 high

thats some hefty difference if its in mm

185s would give a 92.5 height

Always run 185/55r15 on compomotives never had any rubbing problems and was lowered about 80 mm and the Hight is the the same as 195/50r15

Close but a 185/55 is 101.75 high. Prefer a 195/50 over a 185/55.

I used to run 195s but found the car used to follow tracks in the road and pull around a bit that's why I opted for the 185 and made a good difference handling wise stayed straight and tru all the time

I tried 50s they rub all the time on -60mm springs so fitted 45s and it now does not touch at all!

Roll the arches, 100X nicer than chopping the lip away, ive got rolled arches on my hatch and i was running 195/50/R15's at first, was fine on the back but scrubbed on the front wings over every single little bump, i went to 195/45/R15's and its much ebtter now :thumb:
