Right i brought some "v6" brakes off a lad the other day, the discs are 284mm 5 stud that i have drilled to 4 stud but the calipers i believe are off a vectra 288mm setup, now i want some new pads but the 288mm overhang the 284mm disc by 2mm approx willl this be ok? or will 284mm pads fit the 288mm carrier? ideally i want to keep the 284mm discs as ive just drilled them and they are like new lol advise needed asap please guys thanks! The pads aren't interchangeable.

Are you sure on the calipers? My 57mm piston calipers don't overhang the Fiat 284mm discs...

use cav turbo pads?

The pad contact width is always smaller then the disc contact face, so the pads shouldnt overhang the disc face at all what so ever.

peugeot partners do it iirc. lol

btw, ive got 280mm meriva discs and vectra 288mm calipers.

Nothing you can do really, just use them then change to the bigger 288mm discs when they wear out!;) The over hang will just break off whent he pads are getting used!
