PM courtenay nova
his dad is a custom sprayer he painted his 2ltr 16v rocker in metal flake
looks the bizz
and Ian - he did his blue on e in metal flake. Dont think its that much
As for windscreen - no go - cant have anything imparing it
Other windows not too sure - aslong as it doesnt impare the light entering the car - prob cause a fair few accidents as people turn heads

My car is in pearlescent metal flakes too.
The cost depends on the type of metal flakes used.
They also come in different sizes, and are sold by their weight (in grams).
You can't legally have the front windscreen done.
the car is blue so i thought of gold metal flakes or silver
can you get Kameleon metal flakes that flip like a pearl or are they just plain colours?
how much will i need to do a whole car? will 6oz be enough - i can get 6oz for ?50

Yes, that's what i have. The paint stays blue, but the metal flakes sparkle in all sorts of colours, depending on angle/light.
But you can get plain colours too. Obviously.
6oz is more than enough.
try rage extream, i am doin my nova red with gold holographic flakes, dunno what it will turn out like yet but ma mate has got a black corsa with rainbow flakes and its cool but its a corsa lol. he got 2 90 gram tubs and only used 3/4 of one these are priced around 32 quids well worth it!!!!!
?32 quid???!!!
i've been quoted ?50
where can i get them from (are they online buying only)
web page please
thanks alot guys
I guess you just apply the flakes to the lacquer top coat then and spray over the base colour, then buff up and apply a lacquer top coat with no flakes in it.
Does it matter how many layers you apply.
Would love metal flakes for my next project - prob just go for standard ones though so it sparkles - guess you could combine two diff types mind...
