hello, gonna have alot of questions so please keep looking back and answering them over the next few months.

Building a 1600 gsi engine for the rally car, running twin 40s, is the a return on these back to the tank?

where do most people mount there external pumps and filter regulators?

when running a bias pedal box and hydraulic handbrake, whats the best way to connect the rear brakes and the handbrake, at the moment its run from the pedal box to the handbrake then onto the rear brakes but the pedal is almost at the floor, if the handbrake is applied the brake pedal is good? all brakes have been blead also! this is on drum brakes the now but a disced axle will be going on.

bought a head for the engine with all the usual headwork, valve seats, ported polished etc... the hydraulic lifters have been welded to make them solid. is this ok to do or just a quick bodge? whats your thoughts and recomendations?

there will be more questions to come but thanks in advance!

sound like you have connected the hand brake cylinder the wrong way round, the feed from the front of the car (master cylinder) is connected to the rear of the h/b cylinder then the front of h/b to the rear brakes :)

register here loads of people and all the answers you will ever need :thumb:

the welded lifters are a bit of a bodge and you will have to shim them. I have some proper top adjustable Kent ones for sale in the class ads.
