Hello
Will a GSi catalyst converter mate with a 1.4 SRi downpipe?
Thanks very much for your help in advance
Cheers - Piers
yes it will, gsi/gte/sri downpipe is the same, except some have an extra bracket to hold the weight of the cat. however this makes no differene to fitting
what are you intending to do? you can get rid of the cat using an sri downpipe with a GTE system+backbox

Car has failed its MoT due to missing catalyst, and garage is refusing to listen to me that the car doesn't need one even tho it passed it last 2 MoT's without a cat.
Have a 1.4SRi manifold and downpipe, cat bypass pipe (don't ask me why I fitted it), and the rest are GSi exhaust. Old cat (1.2i) won't mate up with the 1.4SRi downpipe, and it has gone missing.
Have decided I have had enough with all this bother each year, want to refit the cat and forget about it. No power gain was noticed without the cat anyway - the engine isn't worth it. Its a crappy 1.2i engine until I get a new one ;)

I took it to the Vauxhall garage in Chilcompton, Somerset, but anywhere in Bristol will do.

Im sure i heard somewhere that if ur car was registered b4 aprill 1992 u dont need a CAT, so J plate's should b ok & also early K plates. Not entirely sure tho.
