Car Make: Vauxhall
Car Model: Nova Mk1
Engine Size: 1200cc Merit Carb.
Registration Year: 1989/1990 G reg.
Mileage:70odd K.

Description:

Make sure you are able to trailer/tow this away.

Basically I am selling my old nova. It is being sold as a NON-RUNNER! And as such I am nicking some of the bits from the engine.

Is in major need of a respray due to the previous owner trying to do it and not getting round to it.

It is stripped out on the inside, very lightweight, I have had a lot of fun with this nova, it is a shame it went balls up like it did. If I had the time and money I would rebuild her back up to some sort of standard. As far as I have found there is only one bit of welding that needs doing, it is situated behind the pedals on the bulkhead, I assume it reaches to the battery tray, (pictures will show this) otherwise, from what I can see, the shell is in pretty good nick. If you decide to XE/LET or whatever it, then the welding can be sorted out when you stitchweld the bay etc.

The drivers side wing has had a few dents in it, however I have managed to knock the majority of the worst out, but please remember I am NOT a professional, and the same for the boot, small ding left by the side of the boot look panel. The passenger side wing will be replaced for a red one that has a rust hole in the top of it. (No pictures of this).

It has had new driveshafts (including CV's, inner and outer), a rear wheel bearing (and a spare in the boot that is missing a split pin), front wheel bearing. The front brake pads and discs are only 7 months old, and still have plenty of life left in them.

Also included is the original bonnet as there is a fibreglass one sitting on there at the moment.

It is also missing a back box, and has a blow in the centre section, and the GTE/SR bumpers will NOT be included in the sale as they are now in my loft awaiting some attention, and the same for the rear light lenses.

Also not included in the sale is the push button ignition, or the red switch to the right of the steering wheel, or the battery.

I shall let the pictures do all the talking, I have quite a few of them. I would love to see this rebuilt and have someone take care of it, but I neither have the time or the funds to do it.

Has MOT til October if I remember correctly, and is currently under a SORN.

I may have missed some bits and peices from this, but if I remember them, I shall update this thread.

Price: £250. I am also open to reasonable offers.

Here is the original WIP thread I started for this one:

Last bump before the bay. Come on guys, the arches are pretty damn good, there is only one bit of welding that need doing, the inner arches are pretty solid, sills are all good. Not the best but still not bad for a Mk1!

This is a good project base if someone has the time, care and money to restore it. I shall edit the thread at some point tomorrow with pictures of the battery tray. IIRC that is pretty solid as well.

To be fair, it is only a rolling shell.

Ah well guess no one wants to give it a good home, so I guess I'll see what the bay can do for me...
