i went to do a cam belt on my engine i marked it all up put it on and tried to get it to start but it did not go and i relised its slipped to teath on the cambelt will it be ok ?? :confused: ???

No strip it down and check valves, pistons, rockers and cam for damage
its a non contact engine iirc, so shouldn't of done any damage

1.2 is an interference engine. You could be lucky and it could be ok but for piece of mind I'd check it. If you have my luck whatever can go wrong will go wrong. lol

i had one strip its belt at 85mph(on the speedo) fitted a new belt & carried on with my journey

I had a bottom pulley come off at 60, engine was ****ed
I had a bottom pulley come off at 60, engine was ****ed i had that happen too... and mine survived that, & i even found the bits.. maybe my 1.2 had a charmed life

As far as I know, some spi 1.2's are interference, bit carbs ones arnt. Belt went on my last one, new belt fitted in ten mins and never missed a beat from then on. And didn't Burgos go while he was towing on a motorway?
