fog lights

i've got a mk1 nova with a mk2 front bumper.

behind the grill there are two clip things and i was thinking about putting some fog lights on these clips the meshing infront of them,
my current mesh is silver and a bit creased so im going to have black mesh instead.

I was wonderin about the legalities of this and also the difficulty to do it.
would i be able to have lights benid the mesh or would i have to cut the mesh around them.

I can't think why not, I take it you don't want 100% from the fogs, becasue you'll loose 10-15% due to the mesh depending on how fine it is?

not bothered about the 15% loss, i was just wondering if the law could get me incase the beam gets defleced into other drivers eyes or is this impossible.

i've never seen it before so i don't know much about it, im rattleing my brain to think of anything thats wrong with it

I've got a red neon behind my meshed mk2 bumper and thats illegal but there it is not illegal for what your doing.

Spoke to my local PC plod earlier about things similar to this.

rite, i dont have a problem with fitting them, its just a bab near me are bastards and will find any excuse to give you a pull so i thought i'd run it by you first.
