...died yesterday at the age of 110. He was the last known male living WW1 veteran, and the last known person alive to witness the scuttling of the German naval fleet at Scapa Flow.

Considering Harry Patch got a lot of coverage when he shuffled off, I've seen very little about Choules. Probably because he fcuked England off in favour of Australia and was a pacifist in later years

he is all over the interweb.. he had every right to be a pacifist, he did serve in 2 world wars.

Agreed. He refused to attend 'war celebrations' in latter years perhaps that has a lot to do with muted coverage. Don't blame him for dumping this hovel though lol

Still, the guy is a legend and we should be thankful for what he and so many others gave for their country.
