Looks like it's back is broken though, seems to be dragging both back legs. Going to leave it a bit to make sure and if so, suggestions on how to dispose (see; euthanise) a Mouse nicely.

It's always a dilemma, my cats catch all sorts.........play......kill..... then eat.

If it was maimed, you should have let nature take it's course

Mine have had bats, swallows, shrew, mice, young rabbits.

If the prey is OK I will let them go (not very often) but normally the cat is off with it

Think it's alright, I don't know.

It moves its legs sometimes, but seems to just sit now and won't run even with persuasion. It doesn't have any visible bite marks or anything.

Also, INB4 anyone says it's just a mouse. An Animal's an Animal.

and it'll be back in your house within seconds..

Then you just chuck it back..

Or you and your neighbour could have a game of mouse tennis....

Keep you busy for a bit...

I'm currently driving one of my Dad's business fleet vehicles (as the Nova is off the road), which is full to the brim of stoneworking power tools?

i would have left it to get eaten to be honest.
its what cats do, they catch something, injure it a tiny bit just to make it easier for them, play with it for 15 mins to an hour then eventually eat it or dump it.

well thats what my cat does anyway.

can be quite interesting watching them play with the prey, they're sick ****ers are cats. mine likes to play keepy-ups with mice using its paws whilst standing on its back legs lol

Oh i don't know what to suggest, i love all animals and hate to see them hurt, my cat brings dead offerings but as he is lazy, he don't even kill them, he lets next doors cat do the dirty work and he brings the body to me .....as if to say " look mam, i got you something"...looking all proud. :) ( which i cannot bring myself to take off him Sturge dos it and gets growled at)

The only thing i can suggest is let it go somewhere safe as suggested and let nature take it's course, or keep it as a pet( i would) ..:)

I'd have and have done, just put it back in the garden but away from where the cat might go.

My cat brings in lots as we have a bird table *rolls eyes* so the mice live under that.

The nasty ways to kill it are shocking.

My mrs' kitten bob always seems to kill things about the same size as him, so they are usually dead. However last week me and my mate simon had to pretty much wrestle his cat to get a sparrow it was torchoring, making a horrible screaching noise clearly in pain and couldnt fly so it got executed via large rock method. Mice are active creatures if its not moving like you say so either let your cat have it back or end its life.

so you stopped a cat from doing what nature intended, then you reverted to caveman mode.....hmmmm

my kitten bought a live bird in the house the other morning, all was fine when she was running round with it in her mouth (growling when anyone came near) but once she let it go in the kitchen pogo was going mad, screaming and sitting on the worktops lol

i put the bird back in the garden but the kitten caught it again and bought it back, we left them by the backdoor (outside) while they 'fought' and nature took its natural course

i knew that cheese was good stuff...

off on a tangent a tad, but i walked into a barn where i used to work, and heard a load of clattering & banging... there was a sparrow with its neck caught in a mousetrap, and he was putting up a hell of a fight... i released him & he flew off with no apparent injuries

Hit it with a spade. I've had to dispatch loads of animals that my cat has done half a job of killing. He even left a robin on my pillow for me to wake up to. That wasn't pleasent :(

It really is the fairest thing to do. Find something hard, and splat them.
