Crank sensor I'd of said.

What colour are you plugs, probably black with over fueling?

Edit: do the 1.2i's have a management light??

dont think the 1.2 has crank sensor as its spi not mpi. however i shall check. plugs are fresh in four days ago before it crashed*. =( *broke

where abouts have you checked you have for a spark?

A faulty HT coil can cause similar probs in my own past experience were it seems to be sparking but not enough to cross the spark gap on the plugs and that was as a result of putting quad tipped plugs in about a week before and still think it was them that killed off the pack

spark tested by removing and earthing it agains something eg block and i work at a motor parts store so i "borrowed and ignition modual and coil for an hour to see if it made any difference. just to rule out the possibility as it were. spark still good tho as it was before i put them on... mega confused

Have you checked your timing then? Double check your cam belt ain't jumped a tooth.

I was sure the 1.2i had a crank sensor, aint they the same as a Corsa 8v spi?

im starting to think it might have jumped a tooth or mabe a few. the engine isnt exactly the same as the corsa b one i am to belive. c12nz they are both called but i thing there are differences with what electricals are in place. =(
jumping in the belt would explain everything though.
