Big Block Coolant Hose

The hose which goes from the rad to the thermostat is as good as dead. As a replacement hose would it be best to use the same Nova hose or shall I buy the equiv. one off a Cav/Cally to use with the LET?

Firstly, the Cav one is shorter than the Nova one and secondly I might have a spare Cav one in the garage lol

On a totally unrelated topic... are XE and LET exhaust manifold gaskets the same?

Gaskets are not the same. LET one has shiny metal one side which I guess is to help deal with the extra heat.

Hmmm ok but I'm guessing they are the same shape and size. I have one which looks to be metal/foil on both sides just wondering.

Also any ideas as to what size hole I need to drill in the firewall to feed the engine loom from the ecu to the bay? (for the hefty rubber grommet). I'll get a pic if I can.

Same size gaskets as heads are same on XE/LET. LET gasket is totally reflective shiny metal on on side.
