C16XE cams / X16XE cams...

im just wondering if ther is any difference in the cams for c16 to x16 or are they the same ???

I believe they are slightly different. I think its the exhaust cam that is the main difference.

both my c16xe cams were identical, so pretty sure x16xe will be too, think its the xel cam thats different?

i think my cams maybe slightly worn, or i need new lifters, or it could even be injectors, as its making a really loud tapping sort of noise but i have enuf oil in it, but i havnt got the square clips that secure the injectors in place from any movement, maybe this is my problem... ill try and see if i can get a video up and hopefully 1 of you may beable to tell me whats wrong.

To be honest I don't think its a noticeable difference. Not too dismantle the engine anyways.

yeah i have been told it could be, but when i had the car on the road it was on for about 2 weeks but never quietened down, apparently the engine was stood for about 2 years before i got it, do you think the lifters mite just need took out cleaned up and oiled up abit?

dont know mate, i got no history with it, bought it off ebay, it smokes a little when i put my foot down but appart from that and the vss i need lol it drives fine

When I cleaned mine out they were full of crap. Some of them wouldn't even compress and it had damaged one of the lobes. Luckily Phillip gave me one he had lying around! top man.:thumb:

So my best bet is to give them a good clean?
Mite give it a go next week sometime.. ill keep yous posted when i eventually do it lol
1 other thing, are the lifters from c16xe/x16xe the same because ive got a full set from an x16xe but 2 of them inside are a little different but the other 14 are all the same
