if you must go to a large shopping centre with piped music, then the trafford center or meadow hall @ sheffield will probably keep her happy for a bit... isn't there one in geordie land too?? you could probably get a shopping trip to new york (there are proper package tours, a workmate & his missus did one.. 3 days in new york area spent purely in large malls, with no sightseeing, even though they stayed in a manhattan hotel, i told him he was an idiot) for less than the cost of going to lakeside & then staying over...
