View Full Version : I've decided...
there is nothing worse then being home alone at night!
Every little noise is making me jump and imagine the worst and Daniel has been a little traitor and gone to sleep so I don't even have him to distract me lol

could be worse, luke could be there lol
I sometimes miss living alone in my little spooky house in Morpeth...
The peace, quiet and occasional ghost popping in to say hello throught the night..
...or was it just the beer????lol
Beer!!! I don't want to even entertain the thoughts of ghosts...I keep hearing banging from the loft lol.
I'm huddled in the lounge with everything I need so I don't have to move again until Burgo gets home haha

Ha, you need a panic room lol
No, the main bedroom in my old place didn't have a window, just a huge skylight and when that was closed at night, you literally couldn't see your hand in front of your face..
And with an all day beer session on board, it was amazing what your mind could convince you was just a couple of feet away..
Waiting..
For you..
IN THE DARK..
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol lol lol
:wtf::cry::cry::wtf:
I'm trying to stay clear from the kitchen as it's attached to the conservatory and there's lot of windows for freaky stuff to happen in front of lol

Too many horror movies/dvds/books maybe???
Yes! Before my littlen was born I couldn't leave his bedroom door open as i'd be really paranoid of seeing something in his cot....and his baby monitors freak me out lol I've now learnt to not watch anything with children in.
I know exactly how you feel. I live on my own and every now and again my house will decide to totally freak me out! I know its only the wooden beams expanding etc but sometimes my brain tells me that its a ghost or a rapist climbing the stairs!!
I got so freaked out once thinking that someone was downstairs, that I pushed my otterman against my bedroom door. slept better after that. Always feel safer when Jack is over even tho he would prob be as useless against a ghost/murderer as me. lol

Just for you two, I recommend you buy a copy of 'The House of Leaves' by Mark Z Danilewski..
But only read it at night :thumb:

You had to remind me of that!!!! I watched it a little while ago...I want to watch the 2nd one but the fact it has a child in it just puts me off. I don't want to end up scared of my baby lol

Er, not quite..
It's a complex tale of a house that's bigger on the inside than the outside..
And the book's as thick as a brick so there's plenty to keep you watching the dark corners for (amongst other things) Minotaurs....

My mrs won't go down stair to make a brew she reckons someone is in shop soft Cow lol. But she will happily watch paranormal activity 2 which freaked the **** out of me big time. I will not have anything in my house to do with that sort of stuff.
You lot wanna try walking about farms in the middle of nowhere at 3am, then talk to me about hearing dodgy noises lol
So I take it we all made it through the night unscathed?
I decided night shifts suck balls and I need nicotine real bad ATM lol
29mins to go lol
You lot wanna try walking about farms in the middle of nowhere at 3am, then talk to me about hearing dodgy noises lol
I used to be a country bumpkin then moved to the village, I now Shiite myself to walk around the old farm lollollol
The screech from an owl can freak you right out, especially when they move they are silent so the screech apears to move around,
I miss it though :(
ive slept out in the woods with some friends without a tent, now thats scary! especially when you forget to pack your torch.
I made it through the night :d Although I feel like a zombie now...teething babies are not fun! lol

Really? I've forgotten what that's like. Every little noise still wakes me up!
you think you are as tired as you can get... you aren't...
Actually i'm not suffering from tiredness too much which is fab. I have the odd day like today where I feel like a zombie but I soon wake up :d I've never been much of a sleeper which helps. It would be nice to be able to not wake at every little noise though.
so er...watching Insidious wouldn't help matters in the slightest :p
try watching a little bit of Paranormal activity.

Yep, remember it well..
We got a few months worth of laughs at work out of that catastrophe..
If you want a good scare, watch the 2 DVD set of public information films from the 70s..
