Alright guys sorry but iv posted this on the Renault forum and havnet heard anything back so...-.-

Right the problem is with my 1.7 diesel 05-55 plate car!

Just noticed i had a couple of blown bulbs at the front so i changed the side light & dipped beam and all seemed to be okay then BAM today iv found out my lights WONT TURN OFF even when its in the '0' position -.-

maybe im thinking bad earth or relay or something simular?

Please could someone direct me how to resolve this problem as its very anoying!
& if it is a bad earth how would i go about fixing this?

regards, jake

No i dont believe so there not automatic!

Like i said the only thing i can think of is the relay/bad earth?

& I belive if it did have auto lights then you can turn the auto of by doing 0-side lights twice and it should turn it off :/

well at my work its common for a bulb to act as a back-up fuse for the auto headlight monitor -VEE, i think that may also be your problem as you lost power to the unit, try this, switch ignition on, turn headlight switch from 0 to sidelights and back twice, you should hear a beep to confirm the system reset and then the auto lights are switched off. hope this helps

you didnt have the lights switched on when you replaced the bulbs by chance? that usually annoys auto systems

If it has auto lights there will be a switch on the end of the light switch stalk marked auto (unless its worn off) with the ignition on/engine running, press and hold this button till the lights go out (10-20 seconds iirc) and the dash will flash up 'auto lights deactivated'.

Or failing this make sure the screen where the rain/light sensor is, (below the rear-view mirror middle of the screen) is clean dirt and crap on this will make the sensor think it is dark and make the lights come on:thumb:

is there a dim dip relay on this model? cos they usually screw up on everything else
