View Full Version : Car covers
Is it possible to get a car cover, either clear (i.e. see through) or one with windows in?
Reason I ask is Hayley's residents parking area has a line of trees next to it. In winter, your car gets covered in concrete bird sh!t, and in summer you get an inch of sticky tree sap and then a layer of bird crap. A car cover would protect our cars BUT as its permit parking, you need to be able to see the permits in the windows for when the wardens come round every couple hours...
Any ideas? Or should I just get a normal one and knife a section out and duct tape in some clear plastic roughly where the corner of the windscreen is lol

you could become the uk agent... or find a parking space not under trees & walk a bit....
you can severely beat a person & get a community order, but chop someone elses tree down, you'll probably get prison time...
Or just cut a ring round taking the bark off, about 5cm wide and soak a little petrol in :d
My dad done this, had fire wood for a few winters lol
Tbh I've never seen a car cover with windows, duct tape and plastic sheet is probably the way forward

No, as its roadside parking (basically a row pf parallel bays down two streets), so a gazeebo would encroach on the road a tad lol

That cover would be ideal :d might see if I can find a UK supplier, or if they'll ship to UK. Can't imagine postage would be THAT expensive, as unless its real heavy duty stuff it won't be tooo heavy.
As for walking - no can do, the permits only cover three roads (and we've been told by a parking warden that one of those is private parking so we can't even park there lol) and there's no other local long term parking. In fact the places the permits cover are also pay & display bays with room for less than 20 cars, so if they're all full then we have nowhere local to park!
