some of you may remeber my turbo project, i put it up for sale recently but didnt have much joy, i saw the gte on pistonheads and the guy was interested in a swap for my let and my shell. i went up on wednesday to have a look at it then spent all day putting it to a rolling shell, windows in etc.

its been resprayed and had arches but has been done very well, all chassis legs are good, sills, floor pan etc. it does need a couple of plates on the top of the splash guards and theres been a couple of plates around the strut tops. its got bonnet pins and a single wiper, the spare hole has been welded and smoothed which im not to keen on either but will sort these over the winter.

my plans are to try and get some use out of it over the summer pvs etc as it has 6 months t+t. then over the winter id like to do a proper job on the strut tops and repaint the bay etc

im realy happy with it.

so heres my nova going,

and the gte on the way home.

Cheers guys. There's a few things on the car I'm not to keen on, but it's a good base to start on. Thanks very much Liam, over time I'll get it looking as good as the gsi, if not better.

Nice looking GTE ben always loved the look of mk1 GTE's look so much better than the mk2 GSI imo.

Yes Adam my shell which was solid, let ready f28 mount, seem welded, strengthened etc. With shafts and hubs to suit. My let and f28 etc.

The way things are for me now, with a full time job, full time mrs lol my lad who's 3 in June and a social life, I just don't get chance to do that amount of work + I don't have the money to build the let nova to the standard I'd of wanted it.

I was never a fan of mk1s untill maybe a year ago or so ago I was always a mk2 man. But recently I found myself looking for a nova and wasn't even looking or clicking on the mk2. Ive been fortunate to do a swap and I cudnt of asked for a better car.

Cheers lads.
