I've just converted my 1.2i nova to a C14SE and it started and ran fine for half hour, turned it off and disconnected battery last week. I connected the brown/blue to the dials for the eml light yesterday morning. Started it up and it ran fine getting it out of the garage but then it misfired, the ECU light came on, it stalled an wouldn't restart.

What wires to I need to connect from the plug by the ECU (has nine pins iirc) to flash the codes on the EML?

Just did a search on MIG and found i need to earth the brown/yellow wire to flash the codes through the EML.

If that dont work, that would be much appreciated Keith :thumb:

yea that sounds right, ones a brown i think (A) and next to it is yellow and brown (B) if i remember correctly i can double check, connect them. make sure ign is off before you connect, then when ign on wait for short flash then a long pause and go from there.

EML now works when do the flash test.

I'm only getting code 12 as i've left the battery disconnected overnight.

I'm getting a spark and fuel through so anyone got any idea's?

you converted from a 1.2 SPi ? is it nova c14se (dizzy) or corsa (coil)

did you change the tank ? from internal pump to external pump ?

you checked the basics, good fuel, enough power in battery, firing order correct (im guessing so, 1-3-4-2), everything plugged in right places

also there easy to flood and dont like to start if flooded it so dont pump it if you are.

I've fitted a fuel pump from a cavalier xe.

It's a coilpack engine.

There's a 3 wire plug going to something on the throttle body thats making a weird noise after turning the engine over?

throttle position sensor

the one next to it with 4 wire/pins is idle air control valve

Yeah thats the one. Its clicking when i stop turning the engine over and wont stop until i turn the ignition off.

when i turn my keys on my c14se (coilpack) there is also a noise from the throttle body too i thinks its the icv or something, runs fine though

i can type down the check sequence soon if you like for you to check over and try rule things out ?

Check sequence?

a list of things to that could be the problem why your engine wont start for you to check or rule out.

Yeah that would be great, cheers.

no problem

engine wont start check list for c14se (corsa/coil)

immobilizer lol
electrical connections - engine and battery
condition of fuel and filter
fuel pump and connections
crank position sensor / cam position sensor
ignition system
air intake vacuum system - leaks
engine coolant temp sensor
manifold absolute pressure sensor
idle air control valve
fuel pressure delivery rate/pressure regulator
injectors
knock sensor - if fitted
engine control module

hope it helps :thumb:
