I'm still having problems with my bike carbs, they are now running with the original ZX9 fuel pump, to eliminate any fuel pressure problems.

trouble now is it won't rev past 3500rpm and just missfires like a bitch when you try.
removed the plugs, and 1 is black and wet, 2 is grey/white and dry, 3 and 4 are black and dry. this suggests that 2 is ok, 1 is a bit rich and fook knows about the rest.

anyone have any more ideas? i'm really beginning to run out of ideas now :(

Have you got a fuel pressure regulator fitted?

Have you had your jets correctly setup?

Have you asked Tom Reid for any help at all?

I ran my old SR 1.4 on the standard Nova fuel pump but I was using R1 carbs.

if thier running with the original bike pump the pressure should be fine

dont need a regulator southie, as the original pump is an interupter pump so stops when the bowls are full
the jet sizes are a rough guess which should be fine to get it going
and yes, i've been bothering Tom since i started the build lol

But the "rough guess" on the jets obviously isn't okay as your fueling is all over the place lol

well I know lol Tom seems to think that it should be okay to get it running. I may try going up a size, see what happens
