Over ride switch for fan ????

I want to fit a switch so i can switch on the fan when ever i want to,

do most wire this into relay/fuse board or just wire straight to the fan ?

what i done was splice into the sensor that plugs into the radiator brown/white im sure

run the wire to the dash onto a switch then a wire fromn the switch to an earth somewhere
