wtf is going on at team lotus???

so mr tony fernandes buys the 'team lotus' name, and starts an f1 team

then the people who own lotus cars get upset, and run off to renault f1 team & get the lotus name & black & gold sponsorship all over it...

so we now have a lotus renault f1 team & a team lotus team

they then start suing each other....

mr team lotus has now bought caterham cars.....

1. wtf is going on?
2. why do rich malasians(sp) have such big egos, and can't see how stoopid things have got??
3. oh, and the judge hasn't given his ruling yet, so whats the chance of a caterham f1 car for next year?

hmm. hopefully the team lotus will now be caterham f1 and lotus renault f1 either stay as they are or drop the renault bit.. so option 3 really i think

isn't the world mad... the f1 team probably spends 50-100million and caterham cars probably turns over £2-3m......

I thought the move by Group Lotus was fantastic tbh, by far the best way to 'win' the name argument, jump in on a well built car, which from the design and testing etc looked to be quite capable of winning races while the pretenders at the back in the wrong Lotus racing colours look sorry for themselves.

Rumor has it that the court thing was/is a big ole PR stunt to get popularity for both sides (Those who like the new route Lotus Cars are taking, and those who like the ideas of 'new' locaterham want to go with an S1 Elise with a Ford Duratec engine)
