Hey guys,

in the chevette it has the old ceramic type fuse box, i would like to wire in a blade type box,

is it a case of chopping the wires out of the current fuse box and wiring them into the new style one? anything i need to worry about lol.

thanks

why? the ceramics are way easier to remove if one gets proper hot..... just get a bag of spares.

Leave it IMO. My Volvo has the same style and I was going to replace it, but having looked at the fuse box it is a great design, very well sealed, zero corrosion etc. Is yours the same?

Well. its clean and not corroded, but i wouldnt say it was sealed lol.

but i had a small discovery today, in a local motor factors, and spoted some on the wall named continental fuses, so bought three. bargin.

so im going to leave it :D

p.s there is loads on ebay under continental fuse.

Deffo don't bother changing it unless making up a whole new loom.
