i'm thinking about putting some negative camber on my nova
mainly just to see what it looks like and perhaps to start to go down the euro route or mods
anybody got any photos of nova's with camber?
a wide-arch one if possible, seen as thats what i've got :thumb:

If my car looked like that I'd think it was broken

It gets worse when you realise how he achieved that stupid camber. (on my pic btw)
And then kicks off because the police took it off him and scrapped it lol :)

^ How did he do the front? I only ever saw rear pics. Some excellent 'fabrication' went down there. lol

Brettski's has camber
Any idea how he did it ?

On the rear I need to know :)

I'm looking at doing this on the rear, mainly so my wheels clear the arches lol

I only need 2/3mm, I have seen people put a washer behind the brake backing plate through the bottom bolts

Is this safe ? Or just pikey and dangerous ?

Friend did that on his Corsa, a year later it's still fine with no problems.

Obviously the pikey way to do it but it works :)

have a looky at the gm competition build manual.. they use little tiny washers..

or you could get some thin stuff machined down to make a small wedge.

remember, a wheel is approx 550-600mm tall, and the bolt holes are maybe 50mm apart, so 1mm of shimming will give approx 10mm of camber

fronts are easy... round file on the strut to hub bolt holes.. its in the haynes book too.

I am, but it still doesn't look like it explains the front. It's like deja vu reading about the car too "omg doesn't he have rear brake lines?" etc... lol

This was the rear, check the bolt setup
http://www.barryboys.co.uk/photos17/e0cdcdff03241d5b3ed8d6de8451e6af.jpg
And it says 'and a three bolt set up in the front (Sadly no picture available)).' - which sounds like a hideous bodge
And to conclude kids, this is what happens when you think making your car have about 30 degrees on negative camber is acceptable. RIP MK1

what saddens me is that one idiot in america trying badly to look cool and scene and failing massively has managed to inspire thousands more people round the world into doing similar

I disagree. Most rip that guy. Connor, that's what I mean, no pics of the front, I just cant get my head around how it worked. This concerns me because I very much doubt the guy who 'built' that kanckered Golf was very skilled on the subject!

The whole camber and stretch thing comes from Japan IMO. Then it was copied by Europeans, albeit for totally different reasons...

Also IMO staggered fitment wheels on FWD sucks the big one!

What a fukking toilet, he shouldve had his licence crushed along with that shockingly shonky, dangerous motor he 'built'.

And i sooooo hope the officer that saved some poor sod from probably being killed by that tit in his uberdangerouswagen, got wind of the libelous comments written by that brainless moron and had him done for that too!

How ironic that in his thread he refers to everyone else as "tard, idiot, mong" etc.... lol

I fail to see the purpose of such "mods"
