View Full Version : Mot Question - Reverse Light
Does a car need one?
just looking at the MOT specs and i cant find anything.
I was always led to believe not it wasnt essential to have one, although if there is one fitted and doesnt work then it should be an advisory/fail, if it is factory fitted and doesnt work then it should!

yeah mr2 doent have any! And passed fine!
not part of the MOT test.
nice one people, it has one, with a bulb in, but no switch in the gearbox.
might stick a switch in the dash somewhere.
even if its there and doesn't work, it will pass. its a non testable item
martin, look at pics of mk2 escorts.. it was a common mod to fit a 'ba$tard' light on the rear bumper, usually an old cibie spot lamp, with a dash switch, it was allegedly for reversing...
