wasnt sure what forum to put this in, anyway, my bro has offered me a set of 15' TSW Alpines with decent 195/50 tyres, problem is, they are form a rover which i think are a 35/39 offset, will these fit on pucka, or shall i tell him to shove them were the sun dont shine? lol

cheerz!

mine are 37 and the rub like hell. try seeing if they can be machined to et 42 -44 that should be ok better than et 37 :o

what does machining involved?

i only want to put them on the gte so it has decent tyres as i cant afford to lay out 30 a tyre far a car i want/need to sell!

put them on and see what happens, ithink you will be ok as TSW only make one offset, it was probably too hgih for the rover and will be too low for the nova but it will probably be around et42.

i run et 42 and wouldnt have any problems if it werent for the fact they were 17" rims

if they do rub, were is it likely to rub?

in the arch? (the rears have been cut!) or on the other side of the alloy by the springs?

6.5" rims in et42 will only rub on the outside unless uve got stupidly wide tires on

the 195/50's MAY be an issue especially if they are cheap ones since they tend to bulge out at the sides and this can hit the shockers

my ET38's JUST catch the arch lip when heavily loaded - ie mikes flippin engine block in the boot along with a load of folk and 2 folk up front :o

saying that ive only got a 40mm drop and the arches havent been touched at all

naa it wasnt

it hit the stops on teh motorway once or twice which is when it touched the arches

i actually made a typo up there and said "loads of folk"

the block was in the boot with some tools and there was me and my bro in the front

it was near the stops but there was still about 1-2" of movement
