As title can anyone point me in the direction of where the ecu is located on a mk4 astra, we have come to the conclusion that the one on mine will bo goosed as its about the only thing left and a fairly common fault on them apparently:eek:

I had a quick spy in the bay and couldnt see it and looked under the scuttle panel (where vectra's keep theirs) and it wasnt there so im thinking drivers kick panel where they are on cavs possibly?

Need to know so i can get my mate to look out the part number on it so i can order a re-prog one from an online seller and hopefully get my astra back:thumb:

+Rep for anyone who can tell me exactly where it is:d

IIRC they are bolted on the side of the inlet manifold under the engine cover. Yours is z16xe?

Yeah silly idea putting a sensitive piece of electrics where it gets hot and cold all the time! I'm pretty sure they are there held one by some torx bolts

they are on the right hand side of the inlet manifold, make sure you put the earth back on and yes they are common. Misfire?

not seen those codes before from memory, ill have a look at work tomorrow if i get a chance. Most likely going to be the ecu, have you taken the plugs off to check for any water damage?
