View Full Version : anyone clued up on iTunes?

I've always used windows media player with no problems, but have now had to convert to the dark side as i've bought an iPod. only trouble is, iTunes has only found about 80% of my music, even though everything is in the same folder, and its found the rest. how the fook do i make it find it?
also, new downloads won't appear in iTunes either, unless downloaded from iTunes itself (which is expensive, so therefore not going to happen)

any ideas? of should I just buy a cassette walkman?

you have to import new files or folders of files into itunes..
The ones it hasnt found i think it just seems to do that with odd mp3 files you may have downloaded; not sure how to cure this - i just tried finding them online again and downloaded another version then it recognised it. No need to be itunes sourced only.

File>Add File to Library...

Then just find it that way, Bit of a pain do but meh

peester, some of the files are tracks ripped from an actual CD, its lost entire albums :(

alex, i did that when i fiorst doenloaded iTunes, and then realised there a a few missing. tried it on the missing ones individually but nothing happens. i'll have another go just incase

hmm. that is a bit odd then.. maybe try ripping as another file type, i dunno..

What audio files are missing? Are they all suitable file types??

all the files are MP3 files. both the missing ones and the present ones. its all very confusing. i'm going to try ripping them from the CD's again and see what the outcome is.

My oldest Son has Apple written right through him..

He could tell you what to do, but we're on holiday and he just left to go swimming, posing, etc..

Plus he probably won't help if you're over 16 (ie, uncool, a fail, etc)..

I'll have a crack with him later..
