dim digi dash

just got a digi dash when testing it works but is very dim
i connected all the blacks an all the browns together to test it

is there some thing that should wired up to make the dash illumate

Usually jsut the blacks and browns make it illuminate

Checked all the bulbs? none blown?

There should be 2 large illumination bulbs on the back on each side the centre hole dosnt need a bulb

Also check all the wires for damage, copper track on the clocks in good condition?

Swedge ive allways wondered what the middle hole is for?

Lol haven't got a clue it looks like a bulb hole for a twist figment but it's different size from the rest an always been told it's not needed

Middle one lights the mileage and the plastic pcb on the back has nothing to do with lighting the halogens :d so blown bulbs or the battery you were testing it on was half charged or faulty digi

all 3 bulbs are present in my dash they all light up bright you can see them when looking from the top
but the face of the dash is very dim you can only tell its on by looking at it then disconnecting the battery
