View Full Version : Tie Bar bracket bolts
Are the tie bar bracket bolts that screw into the rear of the cross member a odd size thread ?
I had always thought they were the same bolts as the engine mount to block ones ?
Using these ones it felt tight on the thread
Can anyone confirm if there are different or not please :)

The small captive bolt is an odd size IIRC, then the two that go through the crossmember are same thread as engine mount bolts
:( that's what I thought :(
Those bolts are NLS at vauxhall now as well
Anyone got a idea what thread they are ? And where to get some from ?

Same as gearbox front bolts IIRC
Matt they're not the same thread, they're fine thread, paul is right, wind gearbox bolts in at your peril. Might have a few used ones somewhere Edd.
I tried to put a gearbox one in and noticed straight away that it wasn't right
If you do have a couple spare that would be ideal John :)
Will have a look and let you know tonight :)
yep have a couple here, pm me your address again :)
