View Full Version : Head water leak - can it be fixed

I took the inlet off my let hoping the gasket was leaking and it's the head. Between the inlets in a recess which is holed, the screwdriver went straight through it.

See pic below;

What options do I have?

hard to see from the pic, is it a core plug?

should be able to get one somwhere

its a core plug, a decent motor factors stock them, use loctite to seal it in.

make sure you clean the area good before fitting the new one and also if one is like that then look out for others. not enough antifreeze in the mix for a long time that would have to be!

vauxhall still do em iirc too.
