goin to look at a x20xev engine today just wondering if theres any checks i can do, its going very cheap so maybe a bit fishy, also has no timing belt or alternator. is there ways i can check if its buggered?:thumb:

well, let me ask you this.. why doesn't it have any timing belt??

if the belt was ok, it would still have it.. my guess is that without taking the head off, there is no way to check the head is ok..

how much is it?

i wouldnt bother unless its for scrap money,chances are it will need a full rebuild

its £50 the lad says he was going to put a new belt on and the engine was for his corsa but he got an xe instead. he also took the alternator for his xe engine. what would it be worth in scrap?
