Unsure on bhp 10-20 mAybe but 5000rpm 7200 is somthing else cheapest and best mod to do IMO.

thanks, u say 7200 does that mean the powerbox raises the limit? because mine limits at about 6300

Well mine has a power box ported and polished head fuel pressure reg sbd 4-2-1 and yes seems too but never opend up ecu too see if it has a chip. That's protects job wen I can be bothered too take it for a rolling road set up lol.

To get the best out of it you need to have re-map or even better you need to go standalone management and ditch the factory tat.

can you remap a standard ecu?

They change the top eprom chip in the ECU but its still going to use stock sensors and that horrid air flow sensor. I personaly don't rate standard ecu remapping look at the likes of superchips .

If you must remap, at least swap to the X16XE ecu and loom so you can run a map sensor instead of the AFM.

how much would a remap or a good ecu chip cost?

Before I decided to go DTA, Motorsport Developments in blackpool quoted me £350 with a raised rev limit of 7300.
