use manzel mate alot better uality and before you think of running 10psi boost you need to think about comp ratios ect lol

It will be fine mate I blew 2 16xe's up trying to push too much boost lol around 8 psi and you should be fine wouldn't advise any more on standard internal as the rods are a week point and you will need manigment for more boost.

The strength of the inlet shouldnt come into question, get a 2.5mm headgasket laser cut from stainless & sandwich it between 2 headgaskets do comp it, in JDM circles its called a blockguard. Use a rising rate FPR to fuel it on 7 or 8psi. Hardest part is sourcing a suitable manifold for a turbo. The rest is plumbing really. Budget on £1500 to do it well or less if you have pikey luck on your side.

Plenty of 1.6 turbo discussions on here in the depths of the search function however.

Yes it does but iirc you can't get a oil filter relocation kit in there that well

Speak to chambers1984 on here matey he built one for his mate and that's still ment to be running well...

The vxr turbo fits and the bloke on eBay selling the powerbox's will make one with the inlet on the opposite side...

going use vxr turbo if poss and stand alone mangment and low com pistons and rods instead of throttle bodies because sbd's kit 2 grand thought should be able to get reliable 180bhp turbo rather than 160 with throttle bodies

Well worth doing, you wont need to run much more than 6-7psi for it to spin first second and third, the great thing is you get loads of go from it and without the weight of a big block in the front they handle well too :)
