get a stud extractor kit or at a push try knocking an allen key gently in....

drilling will put loads of swarf into the cooling jacket... not good for water pumps & radiators...

is it flush? can you get a cold chisel onto it?
drill the middle? should be easy if its brass.
and what are those opposite bolt thread things called. easy outs?

drill it out if none of the above work. but id take the manifold off to do this if the extractor doesnt work. so you can clean the filings properly. try not to ruin the thread if you do either helicoil. or just weld it up and drill a hole next to it and tap that a new one!

can you braze \ silver solder a nut on and wind it out?

i snapped a sender ages back. they are so weak that soldering would just make a horrid mess. they are soft as anything, the stud extractor is the kiddy for the job

Get some pictures up to show how bad it really is.
