cheers for the replys, rep left to all.

mowgli, i've already checked price for an exchange, gone and forgotten what it was now though, maybe £40? i'll ask again tomoro. think it might work out cheaper than doing it myself.

Exchange is silly money. Actually IIRC they stopped doing them! I asked at Euro a while back. As said, bigredd (find them on ebay) sell all the seals needed to freshen them up. This is what i did. Will dig out the part number needed for the kit.

EDIT: in the part numbers thread...

Part Description: 256mm Caliper Seal Kit
Source: Bought from Bigg Red via eBay (links not allowed so search FTW!)
Part number: BR205414
Price: £21.75 posted
Date: August 2010

Try this place mate. You can get absolutely everything. I did my ATE's with their parts.

pete, i can get exchange for 60 a caliper which is not much more than it would cost me to refurb a set.

its not just seals i'm needing but pistons aswell. i'll need to take the calipers off the car but when i changed pads a while ago i did notice that one caliper didnt have a seal round the piston at all and it had corroded quite badly. i just took it out and used 40 grit sand paper on it and shoved it back in as i needed it for work!!

by the time i add up pistons and seals, its baout 35-40 and i'll need to paint them aswell its probably not worth the hassle. however i'll wait till i get them off the car before i make a decision.
