Will an f13 fit a redtop or will it just be pointless? Thought it was an f16 but it's not would it be worth me selling the f13 and get an f16? If so does it matter what car the gearbox is off?

Wont fit due to the redtop being big block and the f13 being for a small block.
Better getting an f16cr of an f20cr.

The f13 will fit but you have to use a 1.7 lowblow flywheel and nova gte clutch iirc.

It is possible but you need a certain clutch/flywheel combo...at least one of them is off a 1.7TD but can't remember exactly

Edit: Damo cleared it up

i fitted a f17 small block gearbox to a c20xe using a 1.5td flywheel but the flywheel needed a bit of work to fit

O right think I might go for the simple option of a big block gearbox just wish id of realised earlier thought it was an f16 until I cleaned it up and found it was an f13 never mind cheers for the help lads!

F13 would last about one rolling burnout before sh!ting its self all over the road on a 2.0 lol

the f16 is a very old gearbox. it might be ready to blow up anyway....

I ran a F13 on a XE about 10 years ago, like said above had to use different flywheel. Lasted well with the abuse. Eventual after 6 months it started stripping gears. One thing that did impress was the speed it would go to, above 145mph was done (on a race track) and couldn't confirm any faster.

So it can be done but It wouldn't be a long term thing! I'll try get an f16 or f18 for it in that case!

its all down to how you drive it & how you maintain it.
