Rear disk conversions

Hi all. I'm putting the rear brake setup back together and I'm having a issue securing the shoes.
In the haynes manual it shows the same type of fixing for the novas ( pin goes through the back through a spring and a retaining clip)
But I have tried both cav spring kits and nothing has been right does anyone have any suggestions.

Hi m8 I bet the pins shorter ? Find a friendly car factors and see what they have in stock I had same problem as they need to be a bit longer.
