Ive recently bought a 03 plate astra sportive van 2.0dti I was thinking of using it though the summer and taking the nova off the road to sort it out for next year as im not having alot of luck with it lol, I would like the van to be a bit quicker, I have a c20xe engine in stock doing nothing and i wondered what sort of job it is to put that engine in, obviously the astra is electronic throttle so i would need to change that. Would i be able to stick with the f23 box? and also the drivers side engine mounting, 3 bolt type as per most vauxhalls these days, how do i go about mounting up the xe?

Sorry about the essay lol

I am currently helping a mate putting a z20let in his 4door mk4 astra saloon.
Do it, you know you want to :p

You need an X20XEV drivers mount, drill and tap the block to take this.

You need late (IIRC) timing setup to movethe belt out the way of the mount.

Wiring is the same as any other astra (3 wires will run, 5 or 6 has you happy)

Too much hassle to put a shonky 20year old engine in there imo!

I would love a z20let in it but i dont think i can justify spending all the money on it at the moment! if i could find the whole set up i might think about it.

Thanks for the info though guys.
