ive just fitted some gaz coilovers and ally top mounts witch are spearical ones fitted them but when turning lock to lock can here them rubbing under the strut top.Is there a right or wrong way of fitting?:confused:

They shouldn't in theory rub but I have heard of clunky struts due to everything being mounted solid.

yeh its more of a clunck now you come to mention it. whats the best way of setting the mounts up eg camber caster?:thumb:

Yo want the stut leaning as far back towards the drivers and passenger door as possible for the castor. As for camber, I'm not too sure on a nova and are you sure they are camber adjustable.

Make sure the insert/nut is nice and tight. I've had the strut twist inside the bearing before and that can cause the spring platform to rub or spring to 'twang'

I had top mounts and they clunked all the time because they were so hard I was going to try fit a bush set you can get for the top mounts but not sure if that would help soften the clunk!
