um your 17.

mod your car in other ways and get round to an engine conversion when you can afford the insurance.

Get yourself a kiwkrack and some decent suspension IE bilsteins and enjoy the back roads.

wont be living for long if you get yourself a 2.0. No offence, but you really need a few years driving experience to get to grips with that much power in a Nova.

Plus, whats the rush? You're only 17. If you get a 2.0 Nova now you're gonna be struggling to find something quicker when you want a new car.

Still, its your money, do what you wanna do

try liverpool victoria mate. been told there very good but when you ring up tell them its standard and then gradually tell them about the mods.
i've had some great quotes and am now gonna be changing from norwich union to liverpool victoria as soon as i can be bothered, wheels and kit on way very soon.

I've always said a 1.4 is as much as you can handle (and as much as you should be allowed) in the first years of driving.

As said, You'll need insurance if you get a 2.0 becasue you'll crash it, so why bother forking out 3-4k and lose it.

Going Fast is nice, but being safe and staying out of hospital is even nicer.

LV won't insure somebody at 17 is that right?

I got a quote off em for a 1.3sr Nova standard for ?850 Full Comp (they don't do 34d party she told me) with a ?450 excess. And i'm only just 18.

So you being 18 proves they'll insure someone at 17? :?

The other thing is have you checked your policy? Asked about putting a big engine in?

I have heard liverpool victoria say no to people asking about 2l engine conversions.

A policy with lv does not guarantee they'll let you drop a 370BHP Phase 4 Turbo Lump in the front.

I agree. work your way up like most people and you will appreciate and handle a quicker Nova when you get one.
