the head on my c20xe may have got the porous syndrome, so i may be looking at getting a coscast head, how much are they and where can i get one from, i got told about £150 but that seems cheap?
Why not just re-sleeve your ks head? Lots of threads on here about it.
lol buy mine, it will solve my problem!

is it not a lot of work though to re-sleeve it?

No not really, have a search. Iain did it in his wip.:)
The heads going porous is due to over tightening/tightening up in the wrong sequence causing hairline cracks (or so I've read on here/mig and bttos)

cheers
its more down to age, fatigue & a design flaw. the ks heads are as good as the coscast ones anyway... its mostly a myth that the cosworth are superior, gm just used 2 suppliers & cost will have been involved. oh, and cosworth does make std stuff for the oe market
