i sold my nova friday as a no runner! a guy came and looked at my car i told him that i couldnt get the car to start and i dont know whats rong. so he paid for the car and to he rang me sayin the car is ****ed and that he wants his money back and if i dont give it to him he will make me give it him and he goin to wait out side my house till i get bk.

i dont no what to do? i said to him lets go to the police and sort it out. but dont know if they can help?
any body that can give me some advice would help thanks nathan.

Police will probably say its a civil dispute and not get involved.

As for the sale, you gave him a receipt that said "sold as seen", right? In which case, tell him to do one :)

did you transfer the v5?

if you did, then you can tell him to go away...

if you didn't straight away then you will be in bother if it went to court.

the old bill couldn't care less. my missus's dad, sold her written off & waiting for the insurance assessor car off her mum's drive up bretch hill, for scrap. the old bill didn't want to know, until i found it in tommy smith's yard & raised hell....(it was 20 years ago, but i have family in banbury & the cops are still idiots)

sorry, i'm going to have to disagree with you there, there are some bad people who take the p!ss over deals all the time, and the vast majority are absolutely fine. racist comments are not tolerated on this forum, and sweeping statements like this can offend easily.

we have had some interesting dealings with asian customers where they do try to haggle after the fact, but it appears to be part of their culture. though this case appears to be an ar$hole with issues trying to scare nath
