Going to look at a 03 plate - 2.2 DTI SRI vectra soon.

Any common faults that any of you lot know about?

All the auto trader reviews say excellent cars.

Need as many replies as poss a.s.a.p please thanks.

BTW it's done 70k. full tax and M.O.T. etc...

So from that it seems the main problems are the cam chains.

So nothing hugely expensive?

Ok so despite these problems they are good solid cars.

Seems alot less problems than others cars i've been looking at... E.G golf TDI's

Back axle bushings are a Vectra weakpoint. Also the injector pumps like to crap themselves in the DTi's, talking about a £1,000 fix by the time you're finished..........

rear springs like to break, front anti roll bar bushs, rear axel bushs.

Agreed. Pumps are a massive weak point. Coil springs snap just by looking at them. CIM's can be problematic too. As can injector seals and turbos. I'd get a golf lol

It's had 1 or 2 new coil springs anyway.

My mate just bought one, hasnt lasted him very long atall 'til he's had issues. Bit of an eye sore on the outside imo but interior is very nice

right guys my old lad has a vec c 2.2 dti which gets a regular service by me of course and the only problem we ever get now and again is that stupid limp mode which is cured by flicking the ignition off then back on and of course the car gets thrashed every were
