On the bottom of the yellow bit, this was all taped up when I got my car. When I took the tape of I could feel a slight difference (didnt feel as good). Is there meant to be a vac pipe or something going of here to somewhere?

Cheers Matt

the yellow thingy is a non return valve for the vacuum servo. if it is leaking, get a replacement.

Yes there should be a pipe connected to it but if you can see a spare pipe doing nothing then it needs to be replaced with the normal valve.

This will also give you running problems as your drawing air so the mixture will be running lean.

If you need a valve give us a shout

Cheers

Overkill replacing the whole thing when just blocking it, so its airtight is fine imo.

sorry, but a leaking servo valve is dangerous. and a bit of leccy tape isn't enough to fix it. a new pipe & valve is the way to go.
