get an induction kit.

exhaust....
sri manifold with lambda sensor hole
gte downpipe/system/backbox

this will eliminate the cat and gain power :)

theres a whole pile of stuff u can do and there are a few threads about it

i cba repeating it all so ill go hunting for the other thread in a bit

untill then

SRi zorst manifold and downpipe
GTE center section
SR/GTE/SRi camshaft
1.2carb head
1600SPi inlet manifold

there thats the basic stuff

ive got and sri mainfold with down pipe if you want it offers

actually i may know someone who would want that

a mate of mine is fitting a 1400 engine to his car soon but wants to keep the spi (a bit like what n0va did) i want to get a decent zorst manifold for it and its crucial that the lambda probe is there

ill speak to him asap

what u wanting for it?

?20 sound ok?

mate, i got a 1.2i, get the gte centre section to replace the cat set up. i did it yesterday n now it sounds like a fuckin rocket ship. cost u ?20 quid, power is noticable as well, trust u wont spend ur money beta n dat. green do a cotton air filter and breather which are aite if u wana stick wiv injection as well

if u use the sri downpipe and manifold it will help too

just dont ditch the lambda - if u do u will end up with melted pistons

and the 1600 manifold i mentioned is the same as the 1200 one so dont bother with that :/

thanks alot lads once again uve all been helpful, ill have a look about for bits, if i take the cat off n put GTE centre section on will that mean i will need to put cat back on for MOT? :roll:

yea make sure dey dont chop ur exhaust in 2 like dey did mine coz i fink ull need it 4 mot. if its anyfing like mine it will probably exceed noise regulations.

is there n e way of getting one of the better multipoint injection systems off the SRi/GTE/GSI to fit a 1.2???

im working on a GTE injection fitted to a 1400 at the moment

if it works - which im told it will - i cant see it being that difficult to do the same on the 1.2

im using a 1600 head on mine - for the 1.2 it might be an idea to adapt (port out) the manifold for the 1200 head and fit the needed things (water temp sensor in the head for instance)

ive had my head skimmed to bring the compression back up to normal 1400 levels - but on a 1200 the level on skimming required may be too far and start causing valve clearance issues - you'd need to talk this over with an engineering shop unless you know how to measure it all yourself

the 1600 head IS better since it uses bigger valves

no one has mentioned the 1.4 single point injector or cam!

in Tot Vaux, they said to add an fse power boost valve as well?

fse boost valve (as mentioned in TV) wouldnt work as its set at a much higher pressure than the original SPi unit

SPi = 0.76 bar
MPi = 3bar
