how is best to solve the problem of the alternator being in the way when fitting bike carbs?
I've been looking at mine and it doesn't look particularly easy to lower, and the manifold would need stupidly long and angled runners to clear it as it is.

any pictures of your setups would be great :thumb:

Plate with 4 holes to move the alt lower, top bracket might need some work but its all easy.

Or go for a small alt, or even a front mount.

you got any pictures Alex? I've not had the alternator off yet, but it mounts on some fancy cast jobby, so i guess this plate just lowers that bracket?

so longer belt, and extend the slider, pretty much the same as on a sport then?

thanks for the pics mate, spot on :) and thats retaining the original lower mount, yes? do you have any issues with the alternator hitting the bulkhead?

Iv'e had no issues with the alt clearance or the bulkhead on a Nova, just extend the adj bracket and a longer belt.

I have a couple, but won't part with them, sorry.
Get it all assembled and you'll see what you need to do, it's easy

just cut the bar with the slot, and weld some flat bar to it.
